On October 20th Discotek Recordings will be holding a
launch party for the label to celebrate our first 2
releases. The Lounge has been gracious enough to host us
and we'll be taking over the main room along with the
Cathedral Room with several of the Discotek Recordings
artists.
Main Room:
J-Pitch, AfterhoursDJs.org / Epiphic, Appleton, WI
For the past 6 years J-Pitch has been carving his way up
and down the east coast of Wisconsin playing alongside djs
such as Richard Vission, Paul Oakenfold, Sharam from Deep
Dish, and numerous others. J-Pitch is coming to the
lounge for his 2nd Minneapolis appearance to show everyone
the sound that he's spreading throughout the Fox Valley.

For years Dave has been a staple in the DC electronic
dance music scene. Dave makes a habit of destroying dance
floors wherever he goes with his funky electro sound. His
resume boasts over 100 gigs including massive raves,
winning several dj competitions, including being a semi
finalist in the Scion Battle of the DJs. Now Dave makes
his first Minneapolis appearance showing why his
productions will be taking the house music scene by storm
in the very near future.

Jake Encinas, one half of the minds behind Discotek
Recordings, has been moving crowds on two continents for
over six years. After spending time overseas at the
School of Sound Recording's Technics DJ Academy in
Manchester, England, Jake for several english crowds at
the Orange Grove, Jar-Bar, and the Font. Known for his
high energy and diverse track selection, Encinas is
quickly becoming one of the busiest DJs in the Minneapolis
area.
Cathedral Room:
Sean Merrell, Nascent Numen / Axis Radio
Sean Merrell has been carving his way through the
Minneapolis dance scene impressing nearly every listener
who hears his progressive vibe. As a resident dj of Axis
Radio, Sean regularly fills Vital Vinyl with his sound
which is guaranteed to get the cathedral room started off
right.
The Hamptons, SIM / Aphrodisio Recordings / Discotek
Recordings / ETN.FM
In just the past year the Hamptons have been kicking down
doors and taking names all while maintaining straight
popped collars. The Hamptons are easily the fastest
growing duo in Minneapolis and have recently started
taking over the production world. Expect Daniel K and
TylerC to bring the ruckus and shake the walls apart in
the Cathedral room.
Swoope, SIM / Aphrodisio Recordings / Discotek
Recordings
The R-Star is here to deliver us plenty of funk, soul, and
electro. You'll see very few djs in Minneapolis work an
effects unit and sampler, even less with as much skill and
ease. Swoope is guaranteed to be an experience as the
technical wizard closes out the night in the Cathedral
room.
We'll be giving out sampler cds with our first releases
and have some t-shirts provided they're printed on time.
